? About the Triggertech recall

Post by L. E. Carroll »

Instead of taking the rail and trigger unit out, which will still require removing the scope rail to read it (as I think it's on top )? Can't I just remove the scope rail or ( ADF equipped rail ) on my Micro 335 while leaving it in the stock ?

The s/n is on the bottom so you you do need to remove it from the rail...

.....I removed the stock from the rail, then removed the trigger assembly (with scope still attached) from the rail....really was not much of an issue.

Great ! I really did not want to have to remove the scope or scope rail as I have her dialed in really well out to 55 yards.

I did as you suggested and found my Micro trigger is "Good To Go" and not effected by the recall. :D

Here are the Excalibur triggers affected:

https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2017/trigg ... w-triggers

Excalibur
S/N: 2448, 2500, 4113-4332, 4345-4448, 5077, 5088-5180

Date Code: BAE001-BAE095, BCE001-BCE061, BDE001-BDE029, BFE001-BFE020, BGE001-BGE039

My trigger has a serial number of 0724-003, and I can't read Date Code. I suppose I have a real early mode, Can I assume it isn't part of the recall?

....I would...I couldn't find the date code either....I do not know why they give both...It only adds to the confusion...the SN is clearly shown and that is what I went with!

Mine in the Matrix 355 had no serial/date markings at all. Still need to pull the one in my REM 700.

... it should be engraved on the bottom alongside the trigger lever!

Not all are on the bottom,
Mine was half way up the side. Had to completely pull it to see it.

I just had a date code (which was not listed) and did not see a s/n on my trigger unit.

If they did put it on top you would have to remove the scope mount ( or ADF ) rail to read it.

Many people have had issues with the small factory screws stripping out that hold the rail to the trigger after they had previously applied the blue loctite.

I was happy to just remove the 2 screws holding stock to rail and then the 2 holding trigger to rail as they do not strip out as easily.... once the trigger is removed from the rail my ser# was easily seen and verified as needing no recall. :D

This also left my optics intact with no need to sight back in.
I simply re-applied a bit of blue loctite to the 4 screws and assured their tightness and allowed to cure overnight. All was good. :D

I had to move my scope up three clicks at 20 yards to get my -0- back after checking mine. I probably torqued the screws a little tighter then they were.

Has anybody received their replacement trigger yet ? They received my recalled trigger on 7/24 and I still have yet to get my replacement trigger. They had promised 5 working days to mail out replacement .
