Hi folks, I recently got an exomag 200 and I gotta say I like it! I was wondering if any of you use the string stops and other sound reducing add ons with this older xbow and do you think they are worth it? Im in FL and will mostly use it for gator hunts and hog hunts but maybe for deer in MI and PA when I go there to visit family.

Welcome Ironeyes.

There are lots of add-ons you can go for; scopes, strings, stocks, triggers, and a gazillion other things. String stops are a good addition. They not only take the twang off the string, but add to it's life by easing it's wear.

Interestingly, I too shoot an Exomag 200 bought in 2002 and it still is my one and only hunting bow. It's so good I don't need another. Touch wood.
Don't look at the antlers!! And don't look him in the eye!!

Loving every minute of it.

Thank you Mr. Meat!

And Thanks for the reply Maple. It makes me happy to know others still shoot one. It has a scope mount and the excalibur max zone scope.

I want to upgrade to the ADF scope mount cuz it seems like a good way to protect my new toy but I also wanted to quiet it down some. I think I will start with the string stops and go from there.

You did well in getting the EXCAL as your first XBOW. Lots more XBOWS with wheels, dodads, tweak this tweak that carry a toolbox run to the bow shop to fix. EXCAL simple accurate fast and quiet enough aint had one deer or target tell me "ohh you shot an EXCAL it was to loud at release so I jumped your arrow(or bolt if you prefer)". Welcome and wealth of info here. And some fun reading.

Welcome to the forum. The string bumpers are a good place to start. We've also got some world class stringer makers that will make your bow sing a sweet song. Have fun and shoot safe.
