Post by exocet200hunter »

1st gen models rock! they have a different riser that allows them to shoot faster than 335 fps in many cases. the Gen 1 riser can put a little more stress on limbs do to the angle but ive been good so far. i think its the perfect model.

Need a first gen riser and a second gen rails. That's when the fun starts!

i get 343 out of my GEN 1 thats plenty for me. youd have to get a 355 Micro to get those speeds and with a longer rail its not as compact. My GEN 1 is perfect as it gets.

The original riser (which people are calling Gen 1) has a 6 degree swept back on the limbs. The newer risers (Gen 2) has a 3 degree swept back on the limbs. The lower swept back creates less stress on the limbs but isn't as fast.

Paul,
I'm sure your right with the degrees of sweep on the risers. :D But pretty sure you have them backwards. As I uderstand it the gen 1 has 3 degrees and the gen ll has the 6 degree riser, thus less stress on the limbs and a slight reduction in speed.

BUT! I have been known to be wrong, and this may be the case again ?
