Same here. We can literally shoot a doe a day from October 1- January 31.
Same for Northern Virginia (Loudoun County), except there's no daily limit and doe are targets from September 2 - April 29. Its a question of how many extra tags you want to buy, the license comes with 6, and how big a freezer you own. #blessed

6 for 6 in 82a plus 4 additionals in 82a plus 2 additionals in 79. Total of 12 for six of us.

That's frigging nuts the Amount of tags you guys get in the south.
Here in Ontario I got my doe tag again this year. I'm looking to poke my first one with my crossbow this year up in a unit #76. come first week of November we hunt with rifles up in unit #57/58
it's a large group of family members 12/14.guys if it's brown it's down, we like are deer meat. My problem is we party hunt so come that first week of November it could all be over. No additional tags...:(

I live in Norhtern Virginia and hunt in Madison County, in the Blueridge Mountains. Out in Madison we get 6 tags per year, only three of which can be antlered deer, and fortunately we don't do earn a buck. We can buy additional doe tags as needed. Lots of deer out there.

In Northern Virginia, as the other poster mentioned about Loudon County, it's pretty uniform in all the Virginia counties around Washington DC that there is early and late archery season and since you can hunt with a bow all through firearm season, bow hunters typically have the ability to hunt these counties, assuming they have access to land, from September through March/April.

Some counties have controlled hunts in parks, Quantico Marine Base allows hunting, etc. The problem is there is still lots of woods/land in all these urban counties and there are tons of deer. There aren't really enough hunters in the counties to help control the population and the problems they can cause (hit by cars, eating landscape in million dollar properties (so sad ;-)), etc. that as the other poster stated you can pretty much take as many deer as you can.

If I get to bow hunt this year (work), almost unlimited in terms of does in the republic of North Florida. Northern guys don't feel so bad though. I net about 20 lbs or so of ground meat from my does. :)

Anterless tags guys, not doe tags. No such thing as a doe tag here in Ontario. You need to have the antlerless tag in order to shoot spike bucks with less than 3" of antler.

How much are you guys down south paying per tag/deer? I believe it was $49 here?

Here in Virginia, only sheds and button bucks are considered antlerless. Rules go as follows:

Antlered bucks are defined as deer with antlers visible above the hairline. If the antler is breaking the skin and protruding above the hairline the deer is considered an antlered deer and must be tagged with an either sex deer tag.
Shed Bucks are often harvested late in the season. These are bucks that have dropped their antlers and only the pedicel or bony base is left on the skull and is usually flush with the hairline. A shed buck is an antlerless deer and is tagged with an either-sex deer tag or an antlerless deer tag.
Button bucks or male fawns will have bumps or knobs, known as the pedicels, where the antlers will grow but the bumps or knobs do not break the skin or protrude above the skin. The skin is covering the entire pedicel. These look like buttons on the deer’s head thus the term button bucks. Button bucks are consid- ered antlerless deer and are tagged with an either-sex deer tag or an antlerless deer tag.

My county doesn't have any other antler restrictions, like points or length. Additional antlerless tags run $18 for six tags for residents and $31 for non-residents. Essentially you have to buy a bonus deer permit that comes with 6 antlerless tags.

In GA we do not buy tags or even use tags. You get 12 deer allowed with your license of which only 10 can be antlerless and two bucks with one having to have a minimum of 4 points on a side. There are twelve places on the license to mark the date killed and what County killed in. Ten are marked as antlerless and two are for buck only. We are now also required to report the kills online so you do not have to use the license to mark the kills unless you can't get online to report before moving your kill.

My daughter and I both got our names drawn for double harvest meaning one has to be anterless the other a buck and depending on the season (bow) can be two anterless or gun one of each.

GOOD INFO ..Folks read all this and think oh I can kill doe everyday. What is not told you have to have PRIVATELAND ..On privateland you have better feed and more areas for doe to grow up ..

Come along with me anyone is welcome here in central pa on PUBLICLAND...We used to see 20 deer a day now if you see 2 deer in week you are lucky and you will have many others after those 2 deer....

I have friends in so.pa they hunt privateland ..They see 30 deer a day turkeys all over they sit in tent and shoot 2 gobblers easy..Doe come up too them not scared they shoot a doe like pets on privateland no fear...

Do not ever believe the PGC when they say there are deer its on PRIVATELAND ...

If your publicland is like pa get used to not seeing deer and if its not it will be soon when tags are given out ..
Gary Alt the doe killer that destroyed publicaland in pa is now in Wisconsin showing them how to issue more doe tags on publicland..

Will not be long before publicland there will be like ours here in pa..Hunters have to fill freezer they will even kill mother with 2 fawns to fill freezer on publicland..
