Matrix 350se limbs

Post by whoay »

Was shooting my bow last night and after I was done was wiping her down and notice a small splinter on the right limb on the inside bottom near the radius it's maybe a inch long... after reading previous post just picked it off and sanded it down going to hunt this season like is then maybe have it replaced any one else have this happen? And are the limbs on the 350se the same as the m405? Also I have never dry fired the bow and baby it... also notice the brave height was a little tight so I fixed that after I notice the splinter....

I haven't shot mine yet but I hope nothing goes wrong with it. Keep us informed how your 350 is doing. Thanks.

An hour sure doesn't give many people a chance to respond.
I haven't had a single issue with my 350SE, but I did with a Grizzly last year and warranty took care of it quickly. Now is the time to get it taken care of before hunting seasons open up.

I think I remember seeing one other post on one of the forums about a limb splinter on a 350 LE. I have had to replace a set of limbs on a Vortex and a Matrix 330 though. Never had a dry fire.

If ur not going to do warranty claim your best bet would be to order yourself a set blemish limbs for $80 bucks you can't go wrong. God for bid something should happen during hunting season and your without a bow you're not gonna be a happy camper....

My 350 SE has been holding up to plenty of shooting with no issues at all... I have other Excals and really find myself picking this one most often when going out to play on my 3D range.

If enough time is available before your season opens ? I would personally return them for replacement under warranty asking that they do the replacements with limbs in the correct matching MOTS camo pattern with the highest deflection numbes they have available.

If for some reason you do decide to keep and shoot them this season ? I'm pretty sure you can do that with no worries.

To answer your question I shot my splintered limb daily for over a year without any problem whatsoever before getting Dan Miller to swap out the limbs for me while making an order with him for needed supplies. I just broke mine off and did not even sand it down.

No , your not the first. Thought I might be when I posted not too long about mine.responses were in disbelief but yes it can happen and does. I too baby mine and have never had a dry fire. My first set of limbs lasted a year and I logged in approx. 2800 shots when a splinter appeared. I shot it a while longer but it seemed to be slowly getting bigger, so sent the front end to Danny Miller who very promptly took care of me with new limbs and redid the limb mounting brackets. Unfortunately after receiving those limbs a splinter appeared at 40 shots. Sent it back to Danny who once again very promptly replaced those limbs. So far 70 shots and all seems well. Hopefully I'll get another 2800 or even more on these. Good luck to you .

Two limb splinters we know about. No bad when you remember that the reason the 350s came into existence was because the 405s were splintering the limbs right and left because of the over heating problems while applying camo to the limbs. The limbs we have on our 350s are those limbs so I think we are doing well with only two known splinters so far. (knock on wood)
