Get a Matrix 330, use the same arrows with both bows.

Or a Matrix 355. But I agree, get something that will use the same arrows. That is what I have done. I almost bought Mike's Micro 335 Gen1, but a 350SE deal showed up on Craigslist so I went with that. Now my 355 is the backup bow and the Sapphire is for the kids.

I have both and they compliment each other. Both are great bows.

Don't know how many of you have tried a 16.5 arrow in the Matrix models. I shoot them with my micro 335 gen 1 and my 380 and the 355 Matrix . they seem to work just fine. they weigh 425 to 428. just thought I wood give it a try and was happy with the results.

Why not look for a micro 315? If your going to have a backup bow, why not have something completely different?

I wanted a backup for my M405 and have 2 other Excals; however, in reality, I wanted nothing lesser. Therefore, another M405 equipped with same optics(coming off BD400) and equipped nearly identically. I'm looking forward to the "new" addition. I think Moon has too much influence on me.
