Hi Peter. I'm not a computer guy at all so with the exception of spam and troll bombings I thought the original site was great. If you'd like opinions, I'd like to see the forum as it was....so to speak. Color was great and I really liked the format. I'd like to see the forum member name in bold attached to each thread. That's my two bits and thank you guys for all your work with the forum.

I liked the option of choosing the format which I got to view.

One more thing, when I'm in the board index it no longer shows who's posted last. Again, I prefer the old format. Also, I'm sometimes having trouble finding the 'return to crossbow hunting' option after the last post of a thread. Just mentioning it for awareness, not to complain. Thanks.

PhpBB has almost infinite customizations and color schemes to be used. I have built many forums and still run one now, you can actually have a choice of scheme box where the members can choose different color schemes to suit their viewing needs. Just some examples of PhpBB choices etc
https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/styles-2
I use SMF forums myself, but have use PhpBB and VBulletin as well. most of them can be very easily changed. :)

I agree. Old color blue and format was great. But there was something about the light blue that screamed " Excalibur " . it made our forum unique. Just my 2 cents.

Just noticed another thing. No more stats are shown for the person posting on a thread.....no join date, no number of posts....I'm really missing our old style forum. I guess I'm a creature of habit. what is awesome is all the immoges at the top of the page. :D
oh yeah, in the board index page, the last poster is no longer shown either.

Being able to post a picture straight from your device instead of having to use a host would be great !

Paul must be using a phone to view the site. On the phone it is a very cut down version of the forum. On a tablet (at least on mine) you can still view the history of the poster like #of posts, location, picture if inserted like before. But all this is on the right side of the page, I prefer it on the left side, which is where I chose it on the last model.

Paul, on the phone, if you click "Jump To" tab, you can choose to go any of the main pages, or scroll back to the top and click "crossbow hunting" to get back to main page.

What I do not like is that it shows who posted last and not who started the thread. It would be best if both could be shown. I know some members skip certain posts because they were started by certain members, now that will be difficult.

Also, next to the thread title: I would like to see the name of the person who made the thread, not the person who last posted in the thread..(mobile).

I guess I'll get the hang of the new website, but I prefer the old site much more. I'm just an old geezer and I don't like change.
