Found a surprise when I took the lid off my feeder - A HUGE nest of wasps! Back to the garage for a can of spray. Luckily we both escaped with no stings. (Thankfully it was cool here this morning, so they weren't too aggressive.)
We moved & filled his feeder and camera, and checked his blind for wasps. I have to do some trimming around my blind, so I put off checking it, but we left a can of wasp spray in the "buggy" (Kubota ATV).
Game cameras are on, so it's a waiting game now!
We had planted soy beans in the food plots this summer, but most of the seed didn't sprout (he got it free, now we know why
). Last week we re-tilled & planted a mixture of turnips & forage chickory. The turnips were coming up good when we looked this morning.
