Bolts for Grizzly and Axiom

Post by WNYBILL »

Can I safely use the same bolts (length and weight) for a Grizzly and a Axiom?

Have to use a 20 inch bolt for the Axiom and it looks like I can use 18 or 20 for the Grizzly. Just have to keep total weight above 350 for either one. So, yes I can use the Axiom bolt on the Grizzly. Do you concur?????

I own an Axiom and shoot 20" arrows. My nephew has the Grizzly and he forgot to bring his 18" arrows and shot my 20" arrows with no problems at a distance of 50 yards when sighting in his scope. As far as shooting 18" arrows out of my Axiom, never tried it and more than likely never will.

Nothing physically about shooting 18 " but with a field point or small broadhead you could possibility do a number on the your foot like a large hole if you decock and forget to remove your arrow your foot wont push the short arrow out.for safetys sake use the 20" bolts. I shoot 19 inchers outta my ibex (same riser) and they are even short. Dont chance it.

I have had a couple people tell me about such accidents that they have had...
Therefore I keep my arrows long enough so my foot cannot get in the stirrup without removing the arrow first.
