Shot a nice buck (for me here on these properies) last year when it was 92. Yes, dripping with sweat so play the wind right. BUT (this is a big but)....if you think it's hot sitting in the stand.....getting the deer out is killer if you have to drag it at all....if you think that heat and activity would not be good for you, then don't hunt...

Too hot here also. I hunted two mornings last week but skipped the hot afternoons. I did have a forkhorn come within 14 yards of my stand but we have a 4 pt. on one side rule so I had to pass. It was 96 yesterday and supposed to be 96 again today. They are forecasting a big cool down for the middle of next week so I'll head back up then. Just be patient (I'm not either), better weather is coming.

I totally agree. The first couple weeks of September were awesome. It was around 50 in the morning and 70 in the evening. Since then its been 10-15 degrees warmer. I can do 60-65 degree mornings. I went out on one 80 degree afternoon and that was the only day all season that I didn't see a deer.

We have this heat wave hanging over us too. It is supposed to dip down late next week, and our state wide opener is a week from Sunday. It is projected to be in the mid 60's, but these weather folks can't really predict beyond two days lately. Hope you have fun at the Beach LBJ.

Opening day in Ontario is looking like 14°(57) and cloudy overcast!
Week and two days yet tho, that'll change.
