adjust hunting strategy when temps 86F +

It's going to be 100F with humidity tomorrow and I'm hunting in Quebec province!

How do you adjust your hunting technique when temps are hot at 86F + (30C+)

I'm staying home until Wednesday when it is supposed to cool off. If I were to hunt, I would go out in the morning when it is reasonably cool. It seems improbable that the deer are moving much on these hot afternoons but they still have to eat and drink at some point. I'm retired, so I have the luxury of hunting week days.

on stand before dawn for few hrs in the am -- then 1 -2 hrs before dark

I cannot sit in the stand when it's too hot. I'm better off staying home, and waiting for the weather to get to where I'm comfortable. I used to hunt every moment I could, but I'm now more interested in enjoying my hunting time to the fullest. I do feel for those folks that take vacation time off to hunt, then the weather is just plain crappy. Been there, done that! I guess I'm semi-retired in the hunting game!

First thing I do is make sure my bow out of the vehicle,, then after breakfast I make sure the air conditioning is set to 72*, the fresh natural apple cider (this time of year) is ice cold, and the satellite receiver remote is within arms reach,,,,, then I set back and watch anything but those stupid hunting shows!

Well I'm in Quebec and went this morning, opening day, and I must say it was too hot! Was in my ground blind about a hour and half before sun rise and before I knew it the temp was rising quickly and it felt like I was in an oven by 9:00am I packed up and left!!
Before I left I checked my cameras and noticed the deer since this heat wave the deer have been coming out much later in the dark instead during early morning and evening hours. Anyway things maybe looking up they're announcing much cooler weather the end of this week

Our cameras are showing Buck movements at 11;30 pm and back at 4 am ..NOTHING during hunting hrs ,,So we are fishing heavy this month and catching /releasing nice bass....Leaves are starting to turn real nice...

most likely not hunt until october ...Most times I just hunt 1 week the RUT BUT i SIT ALL DAY 11 HRS..

I have a very simple strategy for hunting in hot weather, so pay close attention, and you may learn something... STAY HOME. WTH would you want to hunt on a 90+ day?? Dragging a Deer, all your gear, insects by the dozens! Not worth it! Meat would most likely go bad before I got it to where I would process it...
