380 toxic b/h 8pnt buck

The season opened up for a bang for me! 7 arrived with the usual squirrels bouncing around the woods, the smart lil buggars were climbing to the highest points on the tree 20yards away and shaking the branches to drop nuts on the forest floor. 80% of the time the nuts were hitting limbs on the way down and making a loud drumming sound., while I was amusing myself watching their clownish behavior @ 7:30 an 8 point slowly came into view from the forest I have a view of into the clover field im overlooking. He came to 25y and I let loose with the toxic. I could see the wound and the blood right away at the shot and he took off running like forest gump. He crashed within sight into the same field for a total run of 50yards.

Well Paul, I love the fact that I saw the wound and the blood pouring out of him the instant it hit, but it was in pretty high clover and I saw him go down so I didn't spend a lot of time looking for a trail. I'm color blind and I just searched the impact area now for my arrow/bhead and not a lot of blood at the impact site. But that likely more due to a slightly high hit and the fact he bolted like junes90

These, slicks and FOC are my favs. It took no time for him to start wobblin

Nice buck . With a clean kill what more could you want.
