Little green buffer - Matrix 350LE

My brother and I were confirming our zeroes the other day before heading out our stands. Just about done at 40 yds and as he cocked his crossbow he saw the green piece fall out. He's never used and oils or solvents just string wax and rail lube. Looking at the piece there was only remnants of glue on one corner.
Is this a normal thing to happen with the Matrix crossbows. I don't recall ever seeing him be of these before with my Equinox or Axiom.
Are they absolutely needed?

Its a little buffer pad to keep the noise down after the shot. It's simply glued in with Crazy glue (cyanoacrylate)

Not detrimental to performance and easy to reinstall

Its the little green bumper bad that sits under the claws of the trigger

Yep , same thing happened to me earlier this year . Buffer came loose and was dangling . Also had a splintered limb issue goin on at the time so sent it off to Danny Miller who promptly adressed both issues. New limbs and a new trigger. Good luck.
