When I was about 15 years old I shot a nice big buck in some heavy bush near our farm. My older brother had several German Shepherds he had trained to pull a sleigh. He took two of them and hooked onto that buck and yanked him out of the bush so easily we had a hard time to keep up, going around trees and pushing through brush.

You have dogs trained to sniff out a dead deer. Why don't you hook the three of them together in good harness and get them to drag your deer home? No kidding.....

All years I never skinned a Buck from rear legs just tie rope around neck ...But most do it your way..Grouse hunting now with whiskers giving deer break..Congrats on deer..
