Another camera stole.

Post by dutchhunter »

This time at my dads farm in otterville. Thu found the camara that was on the lane over the pile of apples.but Thu missed the other three cameras.. I have 6 pictures of the trespassing thief. I have given all the info to the local opp with the ad card. So tired of people just helping themselves to other people's stuff.

Smart move hope they find them and nail them to the cross. I use cable locks on all of mine and engrave my name in a spot that is hard to fine. also I engrave my name in all my hunting stuff. other wise it is hard to prove it is your stuff. good luck on your recovery.

I hope you nail their @$$ to the cross! I pressed charges on the farmers son that leases our land for crops here in NC, I bought the very first DLC covert cellular cam that cam out back in 09 his dumb ass was all over my cell phone via the camera when he stole it. I really hope you catch them, this sort of crap really chaps my @$$

I have had 3 stolen but got one back. A second camera caught the thief in a pic showing my camera under his arm. Gave the pic to our Game Warden who caught the guy. Also found illegally killed deer at his place. They confiscated the deer meat and mounts and he got fined over $1,500.00. I pressed charges against him through the Sheriff’s dept. to. Never heard how that turned out.

I think every where if you get caught stealing cameras, stands, anything hunting related, YOU LOSE YOUR HUNTING LICENSE FOR 5 YEARS!!! That will make these scumbags think twice before they do it.

I go to great effort to camo and hide my cameras .leaving one out in sight is asking for a theft. Sad l know but true. Cover em up with shed bark and cut a hole with a holesaw for the beam or lense l love mounting em up in the air looking down .you gotta be stealthy.

Another solution that really is relatively cheap compared to having to buy new equipment is RFID chips with GPS built into the chip! I install them on all my outdoor equipment, blinds, stands and trail cameras! I have had the disgust of having my stands & cameras stolen in the past on my own farm property! Since then I’ve installed RFID chips on just about everything! Good luck and I feel your pain!

I do as Joe, First thing that goes is the strap. I build My own swivel mounts .Then I buy some fake leaves and hot melt them to the cam . VERY hard to see !

They need to make fake cameras loaded with the kinda paint/ stain./ stink bombs like they put in money bags at a bank

so when the idiot opens the camera he gets sprayed with a skunk stain all over his face and body parts

be real easy to ID and hard to explain!
