Losing arrows out of quiver

Post by sproulman »

Well all of us lost a arrow or 2 out of our quivers excalibur bows ..
I lost one myself. Our brush is thick and it hits arrows you never knew you lost it and forget about finding it..

We all carry bows with stirrup up feels better on your back.
I believe if you carry bow stirrup down they will not fall out of Quiver?

Any ideas ?

My quiver bracket is detached from all my bows before the riser is bolted on.
I bought a spare dovetail and mounted it firmly to the side of my backpack. That way all my gear is in my backpack along with my quiver and arrows all the time. Also when I'm in the tree, once I hang my backpack I don't have to Mount the quiver. It's already mounted.
And it never feels lopsided on the bow

I use a hip quiver in my backpack, never lost one since starting this practice. I strap my backpack to my climber and have been doing this for a a long spell!

I do the same thing, I just can't get past having the quiver mounted on my bow. I've been much better off with a shoulder sling pack that holds my quiver. I can also keep a few extras inside.

I do too. Just a plain camouflage, target hip quiver with Spitfire broadheads. They never come open in the quiver. They just slide in my pack pack along with my monopod rest.
When I use Grizz Tricks, I use a broadhead style hip quiver in my pack.

One time I lost my Excalibur quiver with 4 arrows walking in to my stand in the morning.
The screw came loose on the quiver. I then went to the kwickee 3 arrow quiver. No more problems.
