Just got my own spread

Post by Bcwn »

Well it's been quite some time since I've had a piece of property, 33 years to be exact. Bank took our dairy farm back in 1983, we had 483 head of holstein milkers. Fast forward 20 years in the military and boom just like that. What was just a simple conversation with the land owners about the property I manage for them I come to find out that two parcels next door was up for grabs, well it took me all of 3 days to seal the deal. 61 acres along one of the cleanest creeks/river slam with ducks and geese. To my left is the property I manage for the folks next door roughly 400 acres, to my right 220 acres of corn. Time to get busy, I would love to harvest a doe or two before season is over. I feel blessed.

The GIS says 61 acres, but the deed says 66 either way I'm pumped.
