Tried to make bacon
I went hunting Saturday morning and saw 2 does around 7:30 but couldn't get a shot. I got down around 1:00 and headed back. While walking I spotted a pig ahead so I took my boots off and stalked her. I my hurry to get close to it I didn't stop to dig my rangefinder out of my backpack. I ended up shooting at what I guessed to be 30 yards but turned out to be about 40. My arrow went right under its chest.This was my first chance to shoot a pig so hopefully I'll do better next time. It's amazing how the yardages can be so deceiving , I find moose to be the hardest to judge
