Sat on the ground with my ghillie suit on.

Post by Riflemanz »

I sat in a blow down tonight in my ghillie suit. I had a buck walk up and catch me moving my head. I froze and played peek a boo for 10 minutes with him, then he turns to my left and thinks he's going to walk by me, I pick a spot between some trees and send a Trauma 3 1/8"
BH thru him. Be bolts like a bat out of hell. It now starts to rain, great so I walk over and pick up my bolt laying there soaked in blood. I start to see how the blood trail is and it stops.
I call buddy John over and he picks up the blood and he's heading straight west right on the edge of the tree line. I start walking that way and find him 250yds away. Thank God for my buddy John! He's not the biggest but I had a great hunt in my ghillie suit.

Nice job!

I've been ground blind hunting out of necessity the last week or two because its where the deer are entering a cut field and there are NO trees, makes hunting pretty exciting!

Alright!!!!! So how was that? No doubt your heart was pumping. No better way to hunt IMO. Super exciting. Glad it all came together for you!
