New Project

Got tired of looking at my Pink Vixen II so this weekend I started a new project. She will no longer be pink! Going complete blackout for hunting from my blinds! Looking good so far! Getting ready to give it the final coats of the matte clear top coat. Thank goodness that I have a backup bow!

It looks shiny in the pictures but as the parts dry they are becoming a flat black with a matte Finish clear coat! Will have the project finished in another 48-72 hours. Will upload new pics of the finished project! Can’t wait to see it all dried and all put back together!

Here’s my finished Vixen II! NO longer pink camo! I drilled the S5 and reshaped the Miller’s quiver mount to go on top of the S5. Used a rubber gasket to prevent vibration and makes for a clean looking mount. Repainted both S5 Suppressors black, painted the quiver mount black, painted the camo quiver black, painted the stock & limbs black. Has 4 coats of paint and 5 coats of clear finish! Added the Guardian Anti-Dryfire, S5 String Suppressors, Flemish string, Ex-Shox, dissipator pads and dipped the arrow retainer & stirrup with a black rubber dip! I think it turned out awesome! Great looking blind bow now!

I think it looks good too! Been a long time since I picked up my spray gun! Been 30 years since I last painted with laquer paint & clear coats. I figured that if I could paint vehicles that I could easily paint this crossbow. Lol I’m sure glad that I don’t paint anymore! I was hacking for 3 days after breathing in those fumes! I was able to put it all back together but it won’t be completely cured till Sunday. Needs time for the plastic adative to embed the paint onto the surface and cure on the plastic stock. Will shoot and sight her in probably on Monday before my wrist surgery on Tuesday! Thanks for the compliments guys!
