Another deer down to Axiom!

Post by XB I GO »

My Dad borrowed my Axiom and almost had a mess-up. There's a deer we see on the camera that has not had a G3 for the past 3 years so Dad wanted to take him out of the genetics in our area. He started showing up on camera again lately. Dad said when he shot the deer lurched forward toward the ground blind and fell but was kind of flopping around. Our spot is urban so we do not want a shot deer to get off the property. Dad says he shot another bolt but it didn't seem to have any effect and didn't go through. He shot the third and last bolt in my quiver and it also did not go through but at least caused more bleeding and the deer died quickly. When he got home with my Axiom and the deer I laughed and told him what happened. Only ONE bolt was a broadhead. The second shot was a field point and the third was the practice broadhead that does not have sharpened blades. I jokingly told Dad if you want to do it right next time ASK me before you take my Excalibur out! Back to class, lunch is short.
