ex shox flew off

Post by xbowrook »

well we went deer hunting this morning.. didn't see anything but was still good to get out.. well i brought my target with me as i wanted to take a few shots with it.. also wanted to see my buddy shoot his, he just bought a new Micro 315 .. after 2 shots at the target ( so 6 shots total on this brand new crossbow) and the X Shox flew off my right limb.. not too impressed with that.. only 6 shots .. so i went online to fill out an RMA and advised them of the issue... not sure i will put it back on.. might just take the one on the left side off and say screw it.. i still have the rest of the silencing items on there... see what they say.. just really bummed that a brand spanking new bow, 6 shots in and i already have items flying off.... lol.. grrrrrr

Its kind of the nature of the beast, we expect the limbs to operate at maximum capacity, but then we also expect them to support all these add ons and accessories. Its safe to say that its asking alot of them to stay in place all things considered

Dont worry Excal always makes it right, just lousy to have it happen. When you get your new ones, clean the limbs like crazy with a solvent and re apply them. There are a couple threads on here that have good success.

If you want them to truly work effectively, pay close attention to the following information. It's critical for actually making a crossbow quieter.

- hold one alphashock in each hand between your thumb and first finger.
- gently roll lengthways while squeezing gently.
- insert into each ear and commence shooting...and enjoy the quiet.

Mine flew off and I used double sided tape to put it back on. It. Is strong enough to hold moldings on cars going 70 miles an hour then it should hold a little piece of rubber.

Oh, never thought of that... is there a certain type? Is it designed for automobiles?
