The new Excalibur crank

to me this is the biggest let down from Excalibur ever! I was so bumbed when I seen this massive contraption after telling everyone I new those hollow but's and that lug on all these new bows was for the new crank for the bows. Then find out it is as big and clumsy as the C2 I already have, and don't even fit inside the but of the stock,,,, keep it, I'll just keep using the same club cranker I been using and taking it off and on to keep it outa my way, so much for usable and silent in the same package,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

What sells me is that it is silent. I like my C2 crank but the noise deters me from using it in the stand. I will be adding this to my "must buy" list for next year.

Turn off the ratchet and hold on to the handle and it is quite. Flip the ratchet lever back on before letting go of the handle.

I’ve always used mine this way. No complaints. I don’t like extra stuff (quiver) on my xbow while in the stand, blind, or just on the ground. I’m concerned that I might not like this constantly on my xbow due to size and weight. A quick, follow up shot, isn’t something I’ve needed. I carry my C2 in my pack (M405,BD400,M380).

I am sure i am not goin to pay that much fer the new crank. My C2 does the job n the pawl clicks matter not, i always crank it prior to my gettin to my stand. Jus takes couple min's n i put it into my pack right then. Hey it is a nice blue color that deer love seein blue

I’m with you guys, as far as I can tell the only thing this crank offers over the C2 is the retractable rope and auto brake. I’m sticking with the C2 until I hear and see more.

What sold me is that it can be cranked from either side I need one that can crank from the left side as my right hand does not work all that well this is what I and a few others have been asking for .

and gasped when he said it is $229.99.

I will stick with the old C2 as you can get new for $149.00 or less.

But if you got the bucks and want the best of the best I guess it would be worth it.

I had a chance to see the new crank in person. Very well made and it offers a huge upgrade from the C2.

Slip in and push button off in seconds
Retractable hooks with a cocking hook holder.
Handle doesn't wind like crazy smashing your hand when you unwind it. Lol


I'll be getting one as soon as they are available for those long 3D sessions with the suppressor...

Huge upgrade from the C2.
This thing slides on and off super easy. handle comes off. and the strap will save your hand.

It showed in the video decocking with the crank but in the photos it states on the mounting hardware . Warning DO NOT DECOCK WITH CRANK ! What gives >

It's supposed to say do not decock with crank without wrist strap.
They had the first run made without the strap. It's being corrected with stickers on mis printed ones and correctly printed now.

What a let down, you still have to put it on and take it off after each shot.

If you can take it off with a simple pull of a button, install it by simply pushing it on and the string/rope retracts on It's own, where's the hardship?

It just kills me to think that anyone cocking or decocking their 200 lb + bow would even think about letting go go the handle while it is still under pressure. For those that do "Here's your sign".

I let go of the handle many times on the new cranks. It has a one way needle bearing and instantly stops dead in cocking mode. Uncocking it still free spools.
