In some ways I think the Assassin is something Excalibur had to do. To make the bows smaller, physics demanded higher poundage bows. My first try at cocking a micro suppressor was unsuccessful and for so many more at the archery range I frequent. Hopefully Excalibur, came up with the best cranking system on the market. However, did they now add something that could ruin your hunt in that new cranking system and sliding trigger box, time will tell. In addition, the thing weighs ten pounds.. Long live the matrix..

I must have missed it but is there a place for the cranking handle to fit on the bow when not in use? Every video I have seen shows it hanging from someone's wrist. All the other new bows I have seen with built in cranks have a place for the handle to fit into the stock.

yes right above your hand grip. move it to either side.

looks like a very innovative new design from Excalibur - the sliding trigger - isn't that a type of mechanical devise that can fail!?

with the rising costs to being innovative - a lot of the newer 2018 crossbows from most manufactors are going to really limit the average person from running out and buying one -- will i run out and buy one-- Probably not

The new Excalibur CHARGER EXT SILENT CRANK is basically going to do the same thing

it will fit any excalibur bow and accomplish the same results silent easy to use -big improvement over the crank 2

Here agin a tad pricey but as some of us get older i'd rather pay a few $ and make my life easier to cock my excalibur---plural to most you guys/gals lol than spending 1600

true this is still adding a mechnical type devise but i can always have a set of ropes along if needed

if the new sliding trigger rail fails -your done - how do you replace the rope or cable inside ?

how does it anchor into a rock solid base everytime and give repeated accuracy- its a moving part - never seen one yet that didn't wear out

I asked the question if the rope fails. Just cut it off the trigger unit and pull it out of the crank. hook on your rope cocker and cock it. This bow can be rope cocked.
The rope is not user replaceable but won't leave you unable to use the bow. Has to go back to get serviced.

they've tested crossbow with thousands of successful shots,with little or no wear showing. the rope is made of very srong material with excellent wear and strength properties

yes if crank fails you can cock with regular rope cocking aid - like all excalibur crossbows.

the trigger assembly locks into the ADL catch assembly which holds the trigger to maintain accuracy

So is the LISTED Price $1699.99 CAD or $1699.99 US. or the same number $ for both

Quite a big difference either way.

If US $ then will it be $2124.98 CAD$ before tax with taxes $2400.00 CAD "WOW" If $1699.99 $CAD then still after taxes $1921.00

If both the same $1699.99 in $ CAN and US $ . Then US Buyers will pay $424.99 CAD $ more before taxes "OUCH"

I would think there has got to be a break or make price point pretty soon for even the most faithful Excalibur fan when they start to consider the difference between " want or need "

I agree with Don. The bow is worth what they asking with all the extras and upgrade.
It's a completely new trigger and is fantastic.

The crossbow industry is just like the automotive , Just keep on adding more things and the public will pay $$$. In regard to the trigger if Excalibur designed a decent trigger from the start trigger tech wouldn’t be in business ..

Neil, hopefully you'll come to Boofest and shoot as well as handle one. That will melt away what bugs you.

The only criticism I will voice on this bow is that there is a small learning curve to it. It won't be like a Matrix or Micro where you can pick it up and just shoot.
One things for sure, some bows aren't made for everyone. But it sure doesn't deserve the blind critical judgement the some have plunked on it. Please shoulder it and shoot it before flaming it.
If you guys don't like the name, so be it. But the bow itself is worthy of an educated opinion.
