New big foot stirrup
Anyone know if the new "big foot" stirrup will fit previous Matrix models??
In cold weather when I'm wearing bigger boots it sometimes is difficult to fit my boot into the stirrup, sometime just squeezing the toe box into the stirrup.
This one would be of interest to me.

Yes. But it will bring the bow closer to you when you're cocking, increasing the cocking effort somewhat.

Is it longer than the previous ones. If so how much? And how much do they cost??

Don't know what the cost is and I didn't compare against another stirrup. But it appeared to be about an inch.maine hunter wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 9:00 amIs it longer than the previous ones. If so how much? And how much do they cost??

I think it is almost big enough for Don to put both feet in .

Well, in my case anyway, I'm 6' 7" (and 285 lbs) so the cocking length usually isn't an issue, but getting size 13 insulated pac-type boots into the stirrup is.

I held it at the ATA and the difference in size is noticeable and additionally has sound dampening rubber added to it.

Re: New big foot stirrup
I am looking for an alternative Stirrup for my matrix as my size 13 cold weather hunting boots do not fit in the one that came on the bow.
Only options i have seen so far is the DrStirrup and the new “Big Foot” Stirrup from Excalibur.
I have read some reviews on both, and the big foot Stirrup will not clear the air brakes on the Matrix bows.
Can anyone here confirm this claim? As my bow has air brakes so that will be a deciding factor.

Re: New big foot stirrup
I just put one on my 355 matrix, I love it. Having to wear big boots in the winter was a pain.

Re: New big foot stirrup
Just my opinion but I would simply remove the air brakes as they simply add weight to the bow. All that is needed are string stops.Fishn-Hunter wrote: ↑Sun Mar 04, 2018 8:04 pmI am looking for an alternative Stirrup for my matrix as my size 13 cold weather hunting boots do not fit in the one that came on the bow.

I have the same size boot, they are so big I think I could walk on water.

Re: New big foot stirrup
On my 2 405s and 400, I have removed the Air Brakes and only have the Dr Stirrup on the one I can more easily rope cock (400) . I found the Dr Stirrup greatly reduces back strain on cocking. The 405s have stirrups wrapped in an aircraft adhesive strip (much like a tennis racket handle wrap) , with a 1 oz wheel weight on each of the sides (under the adhesive strip), then durable, slick covered cloth camo tape, with about 12 zip ties around. I use a C2 on the 405s. Just what I do.

Question... Will the Dr. Stirrup fit with the airbrakes on the 405? I didn't think about that issue.SEW wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 9:01 pmOn my 2 405s and 400, I have removed the Air Brakes and only have the Dr Stirrup on the one I can more easily rope cock (400) .
