Sought after past models

Post by gundog »

Is there a model bow that would be sought after by a excalibur collecter. I could pick up a nib brown stock excalibur and a a wood stock limited excalibur.Would one of these be a must Have?

For the Excalffliction crossbow enthusiast the 25th anniversary laminated stock xbow will make the corners of your lips raise everytime you shoulder it.

Agreed. The 25th Anniversary Model is amazing. I had a left hand model, sold it to a well respected member
who wanted to have and shoot one before he passed away. His name was Garyl. The oreo man! Gary was a straight shooter who helped many on here. However, I think that now I would like to have one back on my wall permanently! May be hard to do!
If you find one, buy it!!!! Make sure its numbered. You will love it!!

I really love my metal rail lbex . Not a ton of them made.might be a little big in the limbs but that thumbhole stock just fits perfect like my pre 64 winchester 30-06 with the target stock..............and it drives tacks like the winchester too!...maby not as fast fps wise but just as deadly inside 40 yards.

Single Edition Kayla Bow:

Image

Excalibur only made one and auctioned it off to raise money for Kayla's cancer fund raiser. I take it out a few times a year and have managed to kill 4 or 5 deer with it. It actually was my duty bow all last season as I was in a vehicle accident and my 405 was sidelined for a few months.

RIP Kayla.

Though the M405 is likely not in the vintage category yet, it is the fastest production xbow ever made by Excalibur. Mine has had extensive usage over the past nearly 5 years without a hiccup. I bought a second one. Fast, accurate, relatively light.

I found a carved tip limb 1989 Exocet with gold color rail and 3 color camo last summer and I had to have it when I saw it I love the old school camo on it and a joy to cock. Not sure if the carved tip bows are being sought after but I think it's a classic
it is now my back up bow to my 350 SE which in the future may be sought after for it's full camo rail matrix that was never really an official offering in catalogs or the home web sight but the child of the 405 ,riser, limb, issue era a fantastic bow to come out of that mess.

I still like the looks of the Equinox. I'd buy one if they hadn't came out with that 405 model. Now I'm thinking one of those would be a nice addition. But since I have a Micro, I find it hard to commit to anything wider.
