So Maybe

Post by xcaliber »

I'm looking hard at a 380 Matrix for a real good price. Thinking about swapping my Trigger Tech from the 330 Matrix, and letting her go. Then again, not sure I need one. Anyway, kicking things around, and always wanted a full camo model. Someone please talk me out of this!

Have the kids elope send them on a little honeymoon and buy the bow with the money you save. Half of marriages fail but Excalibur are for life so it is easy to see where you should spend your money.

The 380........ The reason to have one or two or three of them...lol

1. The best in my opinion with the least amount of issues... for me anyway. Have three and don't have limb issues or string issues.. I use all three throughout the season. Why? Just because I don't have "Safe Queens"..

2. Fast for me...my three average 356-360 fps with a 438 grain completed arrow..

3. Easy to cock.... and now with the new silent crank system that can stay on the bow, If you are ever feeling the pull, it can be cranked at your convenience..

4. The 380 balances for me the best, better than my Bulldog 400.. Which does see some woods time once in a while..lol

5. And the all camo versions are a sweet to look at, especially the snow camo version... Which still has to be added to my collection..

So finally..... Just Go For It......

I just owned a BD380 for approximately 35 minutes before parting it to serve the greater micro good .

I would seriously consider shouldering both because it was one very very nice balanced crossbow. I will add that I didn't shoot it, but I have shot a 380 plenty of times.

Had a 330, sold it for a 355, which I then sold for the 380. For hunting, the 380 is the one to have. However, if you are target practicing, keep the 330 around or get a 350 (which is what I did). I found that extended periods of shooting the 380 builds character.

Well Dan, I have a custom compound Frankenbow, a Stryker Offspring, a custom Matrix 410, M405, M380 and a Y25 Exomag. They're all fantastic, but....my M380 is still my go to bow. It's probably a toss up between that and the M405. I would swap the trigger or have Don work his magic on it. I really think you'd love it. I think you've come to the right place to have someone to listen to reason and logic.

Dan if I ever see one at Cabelas again on clearance for 699.00 I plan on buying it. That and my M405 will be all I need. I only thing next to buy will be a coin (same sided) to toss to see which one gets to go to the woods that day. Heck, forget the coin I will buy another hook and take both! :D

Well I have 3 reasons why I want one.
Love the camo rail, never had one.
They are going to get hard to find soon
They get high marks from those who have one.

Five days ago Cabela's had Matrix 380 refurb's for $419.00. Like an idiot, I waited 4 hours and they were "out of stock".
