cub/ grizzley comparrison

Post by ldock »

I was told by an excaliber shooting personthat if you buy the cub it is the same as a grizzly with the right string. He told me that if I had the right brace height and the right string it would be a grizzly with a black stock and also a shorter stock. If this is the case I am going to buy the bow.
I personally don't know enough about the different bows to know what I am doing just want an excal and the new crank cocker. My horton storm is entirely too heavy for me after falling and messing up my arm and shoulder. I still have to get rid of the storm but don't want to buy and be disapointed. All the knowledge I can get here is in my favor. Thanks for reading and for all your help in advance.
All advice is appreciated. Thanks Larry

The cub shoots 285 fps and has a shorter stock and lighter draw weight than the griz 305 fps .Go on Excalibur home page , they have both models specs and pics. Griz is under current models and cub is under past models .
Hope this helps .

I have a Cub and a Grizzly, with the same string, arrow and brace hight( string right on the bh line) my Cubs 3 fps faster than the Grizzly.
The Cubs riser is also thinner than the Grizzlies which makes the bow a little lighter also.
