I keep a level on all my bows. I actually wouldn't be without it. It's amazing how the slightest cant that you wouldn't even notice will change your poi..especially the longer the distance.

I darn near went cross eyed at first doing the double focus. Took a little practice to become second nature. Kinda like making sure an arrow was on the groove.paulaboutform wrote: ↑Thu Mar 01, 2018 6:31 pmI keep a level on all my bows. I actually wouldn't be without it. Re: Check this out!
They are very helpful. I have them on 3 of my Excals. They've been around quite a while.
Re: Check this out!
I brought this product to light because it's a useful thing that Excalibur makes but isn't in the catalogue. It's the nicest looking one I've seen todate.

Re: Check this out!
Apparently it's priced at $21.26, according to Bcxbow's link.
Don't know if that's US or Canukabucks. It's a useful device no doubt, but for either dollars seems priced high for what should be involved to manufacture it.

That particular price is US dollars. That is the cheapest I’ve seen. Most are around $25 US

Re: Check this out!
Pricing is subjective. You could buy a $7.00 Circut level, a $54.99 Ravin level, a $39.99 or $29.99 Mission level, a $21.99 Axcel level etc

At $25.00 or less, I'll take this one because it is in my opinion better thought out than the others.

Should be fool proof, peel off the paper backing and stick it on a flat area of the riser.

Re: Check this out!
Just assembled my Matrix 380, and this would have been better than the alternative. Just saying, and price wise, it is right in the same range as many others. Sooooooooooo, like said already, a little tweak on your bow at the moment of truth, and you're 3 degrees off, probably an inch at 20 yards, at 40, a heart shot becomes a miss out front, or a nasty back of the gut shot, or into the intestines. I could do the math, but I do too much of that at work, and I'm technically on vacation.
Anyway, not a bad tool for the long range hunter!

Re: Check this out!
Danny has had these for quite a while. I have one on a bow.....Now..... Level is a relative term. I am a carpenter, I use a level most every day. Go to the hardware store, pick up a level, hold it to something and see what it reads. Turn it over, see what it reads now. Turn it end for end and check it again, etc. Some levels will read different on all sides and ends. ( not good ). The levels I have are ones that I trust. If the jamb legs of a door are plumb and the head is level, a square door fits!!! I meticulously level and plumb scope reticles when mounting scopes using levels that I know and trust. Next I installed one of these levels on the riser. When reticle is level in scope, guess what shows to be out of level....quite a bit out of level. I guess at least it is consistent shot to shot. I am not sure how accurate any level can be with a 1" base. I am not complaining about this product, but just letting y'all know that it might not be a gold standard. And it probably doesn't matter because I don't think Colton ever looks at it anyway
