Dan,

I had a similar issue with my more swept back gen ll 335 Micro when it was first released..... I spoke with Mike who is the guy in the back at Excalibur who actually performs alot of the CS work. He encouraged me to send it back and he would "Find" me a set of limbs that shot advertised speed ..... Yep, he probably went thru a set or two but my bow now shoots a verified 335.4 and 335.6 fps on their chrony when using their 350 gn weight test arrow. :D

They will take care of you my friend...

I did build my 380 Matrix using all correct parts, but using a slightly factory modified 405 riser. They look exactly like the modified 405 risers on the special run of of SE and LE 350's and those models were known to be " over achievers " 8) ... The riser I used appears to have had no change in limb pocket angles but rather a very slight rounded radius 1/16 - 1/8" or so, factory machined, at the very outer edge of the limb pocket to elliminate a sharp edge from contacting the back of the limb as it comes off of the riser pocket.

I have not confirmed any speed loss but can confirm an increased feeling of confidence in the reliabilty of my whole bow.

Your gonna' love this bow once you get it sorted out.

Lucky me, hopefully. Peter has sent me an RMA for my limbs which are rated at 50, don't know exactly what the scale is, but he said I need like 58's. Well, my new camo blems came in today, and they are 58 & 58.5 so I can test these before sending my other set back. More to come folks! I like the look of this bow better with the camo limbs BTW!

I'm anxious to hear about your results Dan. I've always liked the black with camo patterns together. I've had a number of compounds like that and I think they look great. I can't wait for you to get out and really put it through the paces. I'm confident you'll love it!

I told you it was going to be a low deflection limb problem. We might not know what the new high deflection numbers are today but I can assure you that the higher the number the stronger the limbs and the faster they will shoot. On the old ratings I always requested a deflection number of at least 100 when swapping limbs. Apparently you need to request at least a 58 now.

You sure did. We'll see after I shoot for sure. I am going to check my 330 limbs also because the risers are different.

OK, with the 58 limbs I got 350 with the 408 grain arrows, and the Flemish, that puts me around 373.3, and I'm totally happy. I'm sending my Black Limbs in, and I get whatever back, but 58 rated. I'll take that all day, any day!
Thanks to all of you guys for all the help! :D :D

Peter said he was going to get me up to 380 FPS, and promised a set of limbs that would make it happen. I have not installed & shot it yet, but maybe today. Anyway, I started with 50's, then got 58' with the Blemished limbs i bought, and now...............................
