Wisconsin Elk

Post by Mashstalker »

So I'm excited over a possible 10 tags lol. For me it's just the beginning to an actual elk season here in Wisconsin, will I see it in my life? Probably not, but it's a start. There will be a lottery for 10 tags this year so hope I hit the Powerball so to speak. Good luck to any other members that are fellow cheeseheads! Skol!

10 tags total of which:

5 go to the Ojibwa tribes
4 are for Wisconsin residents via lottery
1 is raffled off by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

10.00 to apply for permit.
49.00 for license if you are awarded a tag.
Limited to the Clam Lake area to hunt

I think its awesome that the herd is large enough to have a season.
