Scope rings

Post by seabee401 »

Anyone know where I can find 1" scope rings for a Dead zone scope on a ADF. Of course I stripped the one it came with! :wtf:  and the extra set i had are for Varizone scope , which apparently are lower because the scope touches the ADF rail when I place it on.
my next was a set of Weaver Quad rings, which do appear talk enough. Anyone run into this problem and use other scope rings?
Thanks
Tom

On eBay get a set of Red Hots, medium height in 1". Shipped to you for $21. They send an allen wrench with them, the heads are deep, and they hold very well. I have them on two of the three bows I own, and have two that I sold with them on there as well. Next choice would be Leuplod Rifleman Rings in 1" & medium height, pretty good rings as well that won't break the bank!

I've switched over to Burris Signature Zee rings. They're more expensive than most, but the inserts are gentle on your scope's finish (no scratching) and they hold great. Additionally, if I ever need to adjust zero by more than what the scope's internal adjusters can handle, they make offset inserts for that. Never had to do that with an Excalibur crossbow, but it's nice to know it's an available option if ever needed.

I have them in the Medium height, which gives just enough clearance for the scope I use (Nikon Bolt XR). Pretty sure they'd work with your Dead Zone too, though I can't say with 100% certainty since I've never tried it.

Good luck,

Signature Zee are great rings! Very user friendly.

Regular ZEE rings are probably the best bang for the buck in the scope world.

I agree! I have some Talley rings (which are excellent) on one rifle but the rest are Signature ZEE rings. On the crossbows I have the Hawke rings but if I ever need to replace them it’ll be with ZEEs.
