This works for me
1 Sweat-wicking polypropylene thin sock
2 Merino wool is the best fiber on the market to keep your toes warm, also the bigest percent of merino wool I can find. Mine are about 90 %
3 My Cabela boots are 2000 gram of Thinsulate, YES 2000 gram
4 Open the boots at night to dry out. :D

Pay attention to where people live. Some of us have to deal with much colder climates.
One thing I did not mention, When I have to do a lot of walking in really cold conditions, I use an antiperspirant on my feet to reduce moisture. Also, I failed to mention these

First half of this winter, I had to dress like this just to put the kids in the truck in the morning for daycare. Forget hanging from a tree
