Bugs!
Things are slowly starting to warm up, just a reminder get and use bug repellent during your outdoor work/play activities.
The prevalence and range of Lyme and West Nile is steadly increasing.
I'm now in month 10 with West Nile, no treatment or end in sight. The chronic fatigue is driving me crazy . I was told it can affect you from 2 weeks to an year & a half.
Before my last Doc appointment, I was looking for any new info. I found this article about a triathlete that came down with West Nile in 2012. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/west-nile-environment-yarling_us_5a987c91e4b0479c0250ae4b
So don't be a dumb a$$ like I was, USE BUG REPELLENT.

GOOD ADVICE CZY_HORSE
here in Missouri I have already seen several ticks, on me and my dog willy jo
I already gave willy a pill for ticks and fleas,
wish they would come up with a pill for humans for the same thing.

Re: Bugs!
Therm a cell bug repellent units work well in low wind for mosquitoes in hunting situations I will be useing mine for turkey hunting hear soon and also for early bow in the fall.
Hunt eat sleep repeat.
Re: Bugs!
I started using Elimitick clothing from Game Hide, skeeters and ticks leave you alone. The garments are treated with permethrin and they claim it lasts for the life of the garment. I will not hunt early fall or spring without it.
It’s not the way you rock, it’s the way that you roll!

Re: Bugs!
It has become my go-to for tick repellent!
All my socks get a treatment in the spring, as well as my fishing shirts.
My step-daughter has suffered with Lyme for a couple years now.

Re: Bugs!
Yup permethrin here to. I watched a deer tick jump on my pants in the swamp in Florida while turkey hunting and then jump right back off. In Michigan I would come in after a hunt and find at least 5 ticks on me but since using it not one in about 7 years ! I buy it in the concentrate and then dilute it and use a bug sprayer to do my clothing every year. I also agree with the thermacell use. If you have ever hunted in a swamp in Florida in 90 degree weather you will kiss it !!

Re: Bugs!
I use a pump-up sprayer with diluted Permethrin to. I do a lot of hiking and summertime stuff in the woods and, well, ticks can be downright deadly. I find dead ones on my clothes and especially my socks all the time after using Permethrin.
