Side by Side mayhem

Post by Species8472 »

Been a late spring here. Got my side by side stuck at my hunt camp a while back and left it as I had no need for it until this spring. Typical year would have been no problem. Well can't delay any longer as I need it on a job site for Monday. A wee bit of a challenge. On the initial uphill try the 2 ton chain puller could not break it loose (wheels were frozen in solid due to a number of freeze thaw cycles):

Gave up on that and pulled back down the hill and with the gravity assist it came loose. Than it was just pull, reset, pull until I cleared the steep section - and we're there:

Needed about 80 feet of strap to get the job done:

Definitely gotta put a winch on that thing.

Yup . Have heard that story from a number of people with off road four wheelers . " Thought I didn`t need a winch . Until!!! "
A number of years ago was hunting with a person with a winch . Our problem was the winch was going to pull it further into stuff we should have never tried . :D
