Mike , sure glad you are ok. You take care. Last Sept when I killed that rattler at the lease there were 4-5 forum members that gave me grief for killing it.😳 Even tho I was going to set a stand there and be going in in the dark. To each his own I guess. I kind of like my no shoulders dead. Not my fave animal.

Glad you're going to be ok. Copperheads are kinda ornery, like a moccasin. They make nice hatbands though

Sorry to hear you got bitten a copperhead that's not a lot of fun.
But I've been known to catch a few diamondbacks. Mostly while out dove hunting I've come across them. I normally just catch him barehanded. I use a creosote branch, which they are everywhere in the desert and they have the perfect little branch to use. Normally I sell them to a taxidermist I'll take them and put them in a large plastic bag and freeze them solid.
I do admit it gets the heart pumping and the drenalin pressure builds up nothing like a rattler coiled up and striking to get your attention.

Mike I'm glad you're doing ok. My friend got bit about a month ago by a copperhead and he went to the hospital and the anti venom was very
expensive I think he said about $25,000 per vial and they gave him 3 vials. He also got bit in the dark the snake was lying on his concrete patio.

Yup i got bit in the dark out by our Tahoe in the drive-way. We used activated charcoal to draw the venom out. That $25k is a racket they use to get rich off Ins.
