To Cut or Not
I have a Micro 335 and the BEE I ordered from "a supplier" came 18". My question is: Should I get them cut shorter or is it not worth the effort. When I load the bolt/arrow it seems like 2-3" of the shaft is past the end of the riser..

Get them cut. I used 15" with my 335 Micro because I hang my crossbow on a hook while in the stand, and bumping that broadhead when a shot is presented is a disaster. JMHO!

Re: To Cut or Not
15 here as well in all my micro. Only down side is the less arrow to grab hold of when pulling from the target.

Re: To Cut or Not
So I can just measure 15" from the back of the nock and have them cut? I am going to order some brass inserts and since my arrows started off as 22" BEE I assume I need the 92gr brass insert.

Definitely, I hit the broadhead a few times when hanging it next to me in the stand...

Re: To Cut or Not
Depending what inserts you use on the tail end. The front insert is about 1/8" the rear plastic is 1/4" approximately. I take that from my final length when cutting the carbon.

Re: To Cut or Not
This may be a stupid question but since my arrows came with what I assume to be 92gr brass inserts should I put back the 110gr ones since I am taking 3" or better off the arrow? The BEE is 9.1grs per inch so 3" is 27grs

Re: To Cut or Not
92 is fine, 110 is better if you plan on using 100 grain heads. My opinion. I use 80 grain inserts and 125 grain heads, also for some real thumpers use 110 grain inserts with 125 heads. I have some 17" arrows made up that way too and find they are very accurate in windy conditions. I use to chase speed and tried to keep things light, it was more battle than I thought the extra speed was worth.

Re: To Cut or Not
As you can see from the photo the arrows are way too long. Total length is 18.5 counting the nock and insert. My question is how many inches should I take off? My initial thoughts are to take off 4" and when I add the insert it should be flush with the limb bolts. This will put the arrows overall length to around 14 5/8". I did order a dozen 110gr brass inserts to replace the 92gr ones being cut off.

I think what he is suggesting is that the arrow need to be long enough to get pushed out of the stirrup by your foot, should you ever forget. The Very last thing you want is an arrow that is short enough to allow your foot to fit in there too.
