BUMMER.......out of action

Post by Woody Williams »

Looks like I'll be out of deer hunting commision for awhile..

I went to Rural King yesterday evening to get some fertilizer for my newly sown yard (in places). They had the stuff scattered all over the place and the stuff I wanted 12-12-12 was in behind some other feritilizer. I had to step over it to get to the 12-12-12. As I was stepping back carrying a 50# sack my foot caught on a pallet twisting my ankle.

It is now swollen up and black and blue. I can't put a whole lot of weight on it Just hobble around. Since my closest walk to one of my stands is 1/4 mile I'll HAVE to wait until this heals up.

BUMMER!

I iced it last night for 4 hours and have ice on it now.

Wish me luck.............

I wish you a speedy recovery. Just got back from fertilizing my yard when I read about your ankle. Best of luck.

Sorry to hear that Woody....didn't you just have hernia surgery too?

Now let that fertilizer thing be a lesson to you. Don't fertilize your lawn as you will JUST HAVE TO CUT IT MORE OFTEN!

Get well soon,

Get well soon Woody! Don't forget to use some meds to reduce the swelling. Any anti inflamatory drug that you can tolerate will help you get back at it in half the normal time. It can't heal if it's inflamed.

OK.

I have some Ibuprofin. It is 200 miligrams per tablet every 4 hours. Is that strong enough?

I seem to remember my doc prescribing Motrin at one time for inflammation and it was 800 milligrams. I don't remember how many timea a day I took it.

200 is ok,, but 400 is better,, I believe you may need a perscription for 400 mil Ibuprofin,, But Advil extra strenghth has 400 mill of Ibuprofin in them and you can purchase that over the counter

Good Luck Woody
