Micro 335 Gen 1 or Gen 2?

Post by Big Pard »

In Aug 2016 I bought a Micro 335 and don't know if its a Gen 1 or 2. How can I tell which it is and what is the difference?

Post a picture of the riser and it would be easy to see . gen 1 has some twist pieces in the center and gen 2 will have a clear center. hope this will help you . just post pics.

Your gen 2 has less of an angle on the riser pockets. Allowing the limbs to be less stressed, to regain the speed from the swept back riser, they made Your rail 1/2" longer.

Ultimately, you have a slightly longer 335 but a little easier on the draw. Slap a gen1 riser on there and things start to get interesting.

You would do well to polish the top of the rail and knock off those sharp edges. It looks like they are really chewing up that string quickly. 800 and 1000 grit wet-dry sandpaper works great, and it doesn't take much to take the rough edges off so the string glides.
