Drama with dicks store and the NRA

Post by longbow joe »

Anyone following all this drama. I really like the store l think they shot themselves in the foot. They shoulda just sold out all the assault rifles and depleated the stock and just left it at that .seems reallly simple.

The anti's love that crap. I'm with you on just selling it off.

Why would anyone buy an AR from a golf and baseball store anyway? Far better places to buy a gun with true service after the sale. I dont get it.

....I guess, years ago they gave a lot of thought to their name....because it truly has a couple of different meanings....unfortunately in my area it's the only game in town when you need something quick that you do not have time to wait for....

My local Dicks really has nothing for me . I sent my wife in one year to see if they had Bear Bomb she was told by the sale person in the hunting Dept. That that was a New England thing I live in Massachusetts I guess that is not in New England . I really don't use firearms much anymore and my store never carried the AR's anyway

I think comments like I will not shop at dicks and how you are disappointed in their decision should be hand written and mailed to corporate so they will be noticed by them.
It will have more impact then venting hear.

I was in there a few years back a young employee was telling a gentleman that you cant kill a deer from a 14 food ladderstand and that he needed a climber and be at least 25 feet. Funny l kill about 4 deer a year from a 14 foot ladderstand for about 15 years now . Maby im just super lucky and my deer are poor in the eyesight dept. And cant smell.

I was in the Dick's in El Segundo, CA late last year. It should have been called Dick's Fitness Apparel. They had no fishing department. They had no hunting department or guns. The only piece of camo I could find was an NFL special edition hat, which was useless to me since I quit watching them.

With no hunting or fishing gear, can you even call yourself a sporting goods store? That's false advertising.

I think you will see Dicks not selling Firearms and Ammo in the near future. I feel they are doing what the antis want .
