Hunting day pack

Post by MickB »

Hi gents, any suggestions for hunting packs that can hold a rifle or crossbow, day pack size, 1500-1600CU or so. I don't need quick access to them, just as long as they are secure and hands are kept free. Would prefer to have a decent main compartment too, not a jumble of small pouches. Also are there cheaper ways to maybe secure a long arm to a regular day pack? I've seen a couple options like the eberlestocks ..but they are a little expensive for me.

I'm a huge fan of anything made by Badlands. They are quality built through and through. I've used the T2200 for years and it's awesome. It's got an external spot to hold any long guns or a crossbow. It is 2200 square inches but I just don't fill it on morning or afternoon hunts. If I am staying out longer it is nice having the room for gear. I'd check out their lineup. I believe they have a lifetime guarantee....I haven't had the need to use it.
