Boofest charity total

Post by Boo » Mon Jul 30, 2018 1:13 pm

Ladies and gentlemen, I have $9,529.75 CAD in the Boofest Paypal account and $8604.91 in a bank account for the Pearson family! $1,000.00 of that money has to be held back for Canadian Whitetail Outfitters. So we have a total of $17,134.66 for Marissa Pearson to help pay the resultant bills from her cancer treatment.
We, as a group have done well! I am proud of you all that helped by way of buying tickets, donations and helping with Boofest.
Special thanks goes to Rob Dykeman, Michael Martin (both from Excalibur), Paul for the distance shoot prizes and push, Craig from East Hill Archery and Joel for helping with the 3D range, Anthony Romano for the all the help with setting up things like the targets and shelter, Megan and Royce for the pig roast, Gena for being bossy at the draw :D , my sister in-law for helping with ticket sales, my wonderful wife and without a doubt, we couldn't have done it without the Boofest population! You guys are the best! Thank you for all the companies that contributed! The outfitters and companies didn't have to contribute but they did and out of the goodness of their heart! I won't mention any names but there was one company that was conspicuous by their absence. I guess some people just plain forget where they came from, unlike Bill and Kathy Troubridge who not only came to Boofest, but donate a good sum as well! For Bill and Kathy to do what they did tells me they didn't forget! Bill and Kathy, thank you!
I apologize if I left anyone out. If I did, could someone please let me know. Being rewarded for what you do is cool in life but recognition is more important! Somehow, we gotta get Peter to Boofest! :eusa-think: I say we all start on him and not let up until he shows up!
BTW, my property seemed pretty empty when you guys left! I miss you all already! So until next year, Anthony will have to continue the tradition of the Boofest countdown, :eusa-dance: but without volunteering my tractor! :eusa-hand:

Amazing!!
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

....not many know the true hearts that Don and Karin have....they do above and beyond what we really know...including opening up their home to all of us...year after year....I know that the new family that showed up were truly blown away by the great time we have....but again without Don and Karin orchestrating the entire event there would be no charity event...with all that goes on in their busy hectic lives they still make this happen!

Thanks again and that sum that was raised is awesome....glad I could take part in 2018....with the Good Lord Willing and the creek don't rise I hope to see the "family" again with the hopes of having some of those missing this year be part of "Boofest 2019"

Hope to see y'all!
