Thanks Fella's

he is a 10 pointer , weight wise dressed 2 guys that looked at him tonight guessed him in the 185-190 lb range. He was a heavy one to pull.

I entered my stand on a 2 part food Plot 3/4 Bishops 1/4 Red Clover, It was lightly raining at the time, around 5:00PM . I sat for about 15 mintues and started to rattle for about 40 seconds long, stopped and Grunted once (short fighting grunt) then20 second Pause and rattled for another 60 seconds. 15 minutes later I did 3 (Tending grunts) waited about 20 minutes and rattled and Grunted at the same time. As I waited for another 20 minutes , I was almost going to get up and leave , when  Horns are in the creek in front of me. The buck was drinking and got up and looked right at me.

At this time I'v got the release on my Excaibur

and the buck dropped his head and turned to walk away broad side, I drew and picked the spot and released. I never noticed the rack while I was getting ready to shot only consentrating on the place of impact.

I was disapointed a little because I hit about 2 inches to the left from where I wanted to hit, But I new with the sudden drop of the deer before it ran the hit took the air out of him. slightly quatering away and a perfect lung hit. He only went 45-50 yards.

My thoughts on it was the buck was traveling for Does and knew the does were working the Plot. He had no intrest to eat at all...BT

Adrian,

Great shot. Fantastic deer. You don't see one of those every day. Nice job bringing him in too. How do you do that? You make it sound so easy.
