Three weeks from Saturday

Post by DuckHunt »

That's when the early gun antlerless season opens in Loudoun County, VA which is my first chance to get my bow in the woods. I liked it more when the September season was an archery only season because that gave us two full months of archery before the never-ending gun seasons. It just seems odd to have on hunter orange in September when bow hunting.

Yesterday I took the chain saw and cleaned out the down trees from the trail up to my stands. I'll save the mowing for another day. Monday I found four arrows that will hit a 1" dot at 50 yards from my Micro and have them in my quiver. I'm really starting to love the new optics.

Its almost sunrise on the new deer season. At the very least, you should be awake and getting your gear together.
