New Exocet

Post by Jason »

Hey all, am new to crossbows and crossbow hunting, but am very interested in getting into it. Will be purchasing the Exocet soon with the accessory package. I have been talking to a couple guys on the other forums, and I would like to know how you guys like to sight in with the scope that would come with the package. They tried to explain the use of the speed ring and such, and being able to adjust it so that it is on at every distance from 0-40 yards. Can someone please explain this process in detail? I would really appretiate the help. Thanks! Jason :)

Man Digger your fingers work faster then mine  I was going to post this:
http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2 ... =vari+zone

And this quote:adjustments for 30, 40, and 50 yds.

Shooting a 2219 bolt, you definitely will not obtain 330fps.

Like Red Labels has said, set the speed to 300fps, then shoot at 30 yards.

If you're hitting low, turn the speed "down", if you're hitting high, turn it "up". You should also try shooting at 40 and 50yds, and use the same method to "fine tune" the scope.

If you set the speed correctly you should be "right on" at all distances.
Quotes are ComfyBear, BigBear and yours....

Welcome Jason. I've only been on this forum since January, but I can assure you these guys know Excaliburs inside and out! I learn something new every day here. It's a jackpot for info on crossbows and hunting in general.
