You have to use a 350 gr arrow to check and verify.
Don, the 362 grain arrow was as close as I could get to 350 grains and that's the arrow that shot 336 fps a couple of times.

I think you have the chrono set up right, but the point you make is valid, if the 350 is shooting this fast the 380 should be around 350 fps for sure! at that weight 360. I have had a 15 fps difference from a factory string to a flemish string. I just checked my 380 and with the factory string it came with I shot 373 fps with a 353 fps arrow, my 40 strand 8190 string shot 362 fps with the same BH and arrow.

you can see the difference at 40 yards with the Flemish string. sight you bow in with the endless loop string then switch it will be a few inches lower . :eusa-deadhorse:

Well I put a new endless loop string on the Matrix 380 today and shot it through the chrono again but this time with a 352 grain arrow. My results of my 1st 3 shots were 350, 349 and 350. I shot the 409 gr. arrow and it shot 336 twice. The endless loop string shot 14 fps faster than the Flemish string that I tested a couple of days ago but no where near the 380 mark. I have a new set of limbs coming from Excalibur so I'll put them on as soon as I get them and see if these other limbs are weak.

If it were me I would stick to the heavy arrow . I shot a 350 gn. arrow thru my modified 405 and I thaught it was gona bow apart . only shot it once to check the speed and it was right on 381 . I am shooting a Flemish string and a 402 arrow and the speed is 355 356 . and that is fast enough for me .it shoots good with that set up.

I was only using the 352 gr arrow to try and find the true speed I hunt with a heavier arrow

I received my new 380 limbs yesterday that I ordered from Excalibur, so this afternoon I went out and shot again on the Chrono with the new limbs. It was just as I thought my original limbs were weak. I shot 3 times with my 352 gr. arrow and the endless loop string and the Matrix 380 shot 383 twice and 384. I switched over to the 408 gr. arrow and shot 3 more times and the speeds were 361,359,360. This is the speeds that I was expecting. I know my speeds will be even slower when I switch over to my Flemish string, but that's fine. I could tell when I cocked the 380 with the new limbs it was harder to cock than before with the original limbs.

I'm going to contact Excalibur about my other limbs and see if they'll replace them. Thanks everyone for their advice.

I have a Exocet 200 that’s only shooting 305 with a new Flemish string, new limbs and a 360gn arrow! I’m in the low 290s with my 425 gn hunting set up.

as i stated in a different thread, my son got replacement limbs for his bow and the color is noticeably different. idk if this is avoidable but but you may want to consider it as you talk to danny or dawn.

Thanks fer lett'n me know Eric, I was close with the new limbs and same chronograph sounds like that setup is shooting what the advertised speed is for a 380, a little hotter as matter of fact. That 408 @ 361 fps, and 353 @ 384 fps,,, Who woulda thunk it,,,, ,,, :eusa-deadhorse:

It depends on your Flemish String. Flemish or EL, if they weight the same you will get similar speeds. If a Flemish is slower, my guess is that it just weighs more.
