Vibration/Sound Dampening

Post by jody5252 »

In the final stage of purchasing a 315 micro. Finally have them in stock! Going to get the bare bow from Woodies, and then the accessories... For sound dampening, if I just get the string stops, do I really need the air brakes? (I currently have this set-up, on my Exocett 200) Or, would string stops and the ex-shox work as well? Or. Would just the string stops be enough? Not sure if any of these are included with the bare bow... I mainly want to help control the shock. I understand that you cannot make the bows completely quiet, not into all that hype, anyways... Just wondering what would be the best choice, for performance and costs. Thanks, J.

I would get the coated stirrup and arrow retainer. Woody also sells the DrStirrup front end and string stops, both work very well in lowering noise.

i would go with the DrStirrup Stirrup, dBKiller Bumpers, & on the string get the Pine Ridge Archery brush buttons, to help with the string slap on the limbs, plus less cost than the Ex-Shoks.

Thanks for the reminder! I was thinking the micro would already have a Flemish string... Forgot that I switched to a Flemish on my Exocett.

I like air brakes just feel it does quite the bow .
In my mind I feel it helps to keep limbs from splitting!
But what do I know?😏

I'd say better safe than sorry. Peace of mind = priceless. I certainly think they were a major survival factor in my numerous attempts to set a dryfire record when I was a newb.
