Loose Safety Matrix 350

Post by WNCTracker »

Does Anyone have any fixes or suggestions for how to tighten up the safety on my matrix 350? I will find myself walking and if I don’t check the safety able eventually work itself halfway up. The mechanism is really loose and I’m wondering if that is normal for the model and if there something I can do to improve it or if it is something I need to call Excalibar about?

My advice is don't use the bow until you get it fixed . call the factory and they will take care of it for you . this is the first time I heard of this problem. they should have you going in no time .

There is a spring that applies pressure to a ball bearing which fits in a couple of indents on the safety lever. This is all inside the trigger box. Shouldn’t be too difficult of a fix as long as the bearing is not missing and you feel comfortable attempting the repair. If you are not familiar with the inside of the trigger assembly it would be best to open a RMA with Excalibur. Keep in mind that no matter who repairs it you will have to re-sight your bow because of the disassembly.

Also keep in mind that if you choose to do the work yourself and cut/break the seal on the trigger box that the warranty on the trigger may be void.
