Diablo 18' arrow snapped in half

Post by Equalizer »

I was shooting today and took out a new pack of Diablo Luminok arrows .
My second shot that I took ,"first shot for that arrow " snapped . It snapped in the center.
The arrow penitrated the target and the fletching part tumbeled about 2 feet away .
It didnt hit the spot i was aiming for ,it was about 18' 'high to the right .
Has anyone have or heard of having any problems with Diablo arrows ?
I was shooting 20 yards away in a Spyder 24x24 target

It appears the arrow was not headed toward the intended point of aim and hit the target at an angle and the angled entry stress causing the arrow to break.
The arrow may not have been seated 100% against the string.

It happened to me also. I figured it was caused by slightly improper seating combined with a plastic nock. It happened quite a while ago and hasn't happened since. Same results also.

The equalizer is a nice bow, and at the time it was the deal to be had. My friend bought one at the same time we bought a couple matrix 355. Dollar for dollar we lost out on that day

Fyi I chronied it and it shot 371 in complete factory trim.

I enjoy the bow very much , I purchased some products from Excalibur and Dawn and Peter helped me out very much ,Even with the Cabela's name on it ,I received top notch help .Im glad I made the right decision on buying a Excalibur product . They treat you like family ,and not a number like the last crossbow I owned .

Good luck and safe hunting to all
