Micro 335 vs 315 Limb Failures?

Post by Big Woods »

Hi All-

I am seriously considering selling my Matrix 355 (which has barely been used) which I bought new in 2014 and getting a Micro 315 or 335. I nearly bought a Micro 335 previously but the stories of all of the limb failures scared me away. It seems that there are still a fair number of failures taking place. My question is: does the 315 have a lower limb failure rate than the 335?

Thank You!

Probably is the case just do to the less stress. but frankly, there are 10's of thousands of these floating around out there. Not blowing limbs off. The number is drastically inflated when you read the forums, only because many people come here due to or looking for help. But in reality, there are so many bows out there that are not on the forums.

With that said, the 315 is absolutely sweet!

I am one of the few that had a Micro 335 limb issue after 700+ shots. Within 5 days Excalibur sent me a replacement riser with brand new limbs and a brand new string... I wouldn’t part with my Micro 335. It’s a keeper.

X2.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd get the Micro 355 but it wasn't available yet. The Micro series is practically perfect to me.

I got a 335 4 years ago and have had nothing but problems with it now the scope just fell apart I think a 315 would have been better lol Thinking to go back to the old killer exomax that served me much better for 25 years !

Wish I would have kept my generation 1 335, but the 355 seems to fill the void very well. You can have trouble with anything, I have been very fortunate with all of the Excalibur models so far that I have owned. Go for whichever model you think fits your needs.

I have been in love with the Matrix line since I bought the 310 for my first crossbow, then the 330 for my second. lol
I sold the 330 and am considering picking up a BD 330.
Never had a problem with limb failures on either one -
It is my thinking that the less stress there is on the limbs the less problems you will have.

BD330, hands down, best shouldering bow in the current line up. Go for it!
